Perhaps the nicest varnish of a new cello anywhere, certainly the nicest we’ve ever seen. (The photo gives you some idea but doesn’t really do it justice). But this Amati copy is even nicer to listen to than it is to look at. Warm, focused and very complex with amazing projection, its response is immediate and its playability superb. It will fit any situation in which it is needed, including concerto performances. |
