Mansuy
a Paris Mirecourt ca 1900
In 1900
Mansuy a Paris became a trade name for a higher level
instrument made by the Jerome Thibouville-Lamy firm in Mirecourt,
France. This cello has a very nice plum-red varnish, and a sound
that is suitable for professional playing. It was used at the
conservatory of McGill University in Montreal and played in the
New World Symphony in Florida under Michael Tilson Thomas. Very
rich and responsive. |
