This is the earliest of the famous Juzek red label master arts (made by members of the Mittenwald violin-makers guild) that we have seen. A number of these red-label instruments, made during the early 1930s to the later 1940s, have been (and continue to be) performed on by notable players, including major symphony players and soloists like Carter Brey and Melissa Perley. The craftsmanship and varnish of these instruments is excellent and the wood selection is unmatched by most tonewoods available today. The sound of the this cello is warm, full and big, suitable for any requirements: soloist, chamber, or orchestra. Its wear brings it to a very affordable price.
