This unusual collaboration between Gabriel Jacquet ((son-in-law of the famous french maker C.A. Gand, aka Jacquet Gand, ) and Leon Mougenot, or possibly Louis Nicolas Mougenot of Mirecourt, gives this fine french cello a value equal to those made by Leon Mougenot alone. Completed late in Jacquet’s life, it may have been the last instrument he worked on. The cello is in unusually good condition and is a remarkable player with rich, full sound, and plenty of focus and power. With smooth fingering and almost instant response, this cello is truly wonderful to play. With a certificate from David Bonsey of N.Y.
