Otto Durrschmidt Cello Bow

1,500.00

Otto Durrschmidt, and his two sons that succeeded him, have fashioned bows of high quality since the early 1900s. This is a special bow, made from a terrific piece of pernambuco that is heavier and stiffer than most, is perfect for a cellist who wants a powerful, huge sound. Interestingly, the bow doesn’t seem heavy in the hand, even when negotiating lively passages, nor does it interfere with light nuance or spiccato. In great condition at a very reasonable price.
