We’ve admired Jon’s work for a long time, but this is the first cello of his that we’ve had in our shop. This is beautiful in every way: workmanship detail, varnish, and best of all sound. Powerful but sweet, rich but focused, it is as effective on a large stage as it is in an intimate chamber music space. Originally commissioned by a fine avocational cellist in Atlanta, and despite years of serious use, this cello is in amazing condition. Appraised by the maker for $45,000 retail.
